   However, the folder is hidden by default…doesn’t show the public desktop folder by default…..you must show the hidden files and folders.

   You don’t need to show hidden files/folders — you can just type the path in a Run prompt or the address bar of Windows Explorer, and it will take you to the hidden folder.

   Worth noting this only applies to existing users, not newly created accounts. Use %systemdrive%\users\default\desktop
