I had problem finding an iLO 2 driver that would work with Windows Server 2012. The server was a HP ProLiant DL380 G5. I had earlier managed to get an iLO 2 driver to work with Windows Server 2012 on a HP ProLiant ML350 G5.
The hardware ID was: VEN_103C&DEV_3302.
It was shown in the device manager as ipmi interface.
We solved this by this by installing cp013803.exe (HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver for Windows Server 2008 x64 Editions)
Hey, quick question — how much of a pain was it to install 2012 on this server? I’m thinking about picking up a few discounted pieces to use for a storage pool and wanted 2012 on them.
No pain at all. Needed to download some drivers from hp.com. I googled the hardware id’s to know what type of driver I needed to download. I used drivers for Windows 2008 r2.
I had a similar problem getting a new DL380p Gen8 Server, I couldnt find an ILO driver which worked on Server 2012. I took your advice and used a driver from 2008R2 which did the trick, so thank you.
I loaded Server 2012 on a ML370G6 and I’ve been unable to get the ILO driver loaded onto it. I’ve already tried the cp013803.exe update but it wouldn’t install.
I extracted the executable and then loaded the driver via the Device Manager and it installed fine.
Thank you Helped Alot!
This is working on windows server 2012 all versions except server core edition, is there is a way to install this management processor component on core version ?
